How are Duplicate Contacts handled?

CSV spreadsheet uploads will detect phone/email duplicates. If the phone number or the email address match, the existing record will be updated.
If you manually create a contact, the name will show in the search alerting you of the duplicate contact. If you continue to enter the contact, the system will still allow duplicates because of the manual entry.
