About Open and Closed status in Messages

Your Messages panel will show messages in your Open and Closed sections. Click on either to toggle.

What does it all mean?

Here is a quick video overview:

In a nutshell:

  1. When you send your first message to a new contact, this message will show as Closed.
  2. When you get any reply, this message will show as Open.
  3. The message will stay Open until you click Closed.
    1. This allows you to keep the messsage open to remind you of any actionables you may have for that customer.
  4. When you are ready, manually click Closed. You can change this status at any time and this action will show in the Customer message history.

This message is Open: Click the checkmark to Close.

This message is Closed: Click the envelope to Open.
